As part of its ongoing commitment to the finest quality sacred music, Pilgrim Uniting Church is excited to welcome Benjamin Sheen, one of the world's brightest young organists, this Sunday 11 August.
Performing as part of the International Organist Series, Ben holds degrees from the University of Oxford and the Juilliard School, and since 2011 has been Associate Organist at St Thomas', New York. Next year he will take up the position of Sub-Organist at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. He is the recipient of a number of prestigious prizes and has extensive international tour experience.
Ben will be accompanying the 11am service, playing the Finale from Widor's 8th Symphony as the postlude. His recital at 3pm will include works by Bach, Mozart, William Walton, Claude Debussy and Percy Whitlock.
Hosting the largest pipe organ in South Australia, Pilgrim has become a favourite for many organists around the world.
