Ah it's Friday, you've survived another week at work without throwing a computer out the office window; you deserve a treat. Might I suggest a little trip down to the Benefit Brow Bar at Myer in the city?
I have rather difficult eyebrows. If left to themselves they soon achieve a furry caterpillar like aspect, made more interesting by the fact that (like most people, or so I'm told) I have a kind of wonky non-symmetrical face and so one caterpillar is higher than the other; like it's sort of wandered off to see if there is something tasty to eat in my fringe. I have had my share of interesting eyebrow disasters: the inexpressibly ugly 90s tadpole shape; the thin (permanently surprised look) shape; the 'I'll just trim them with scissors all over' fool-of-a-took stylist bush; the crazy zig-zag (imitating a Harry Potter scar?) shape and the old favourite, 'accidentally waxing off the ends so they are stumpy' shape.
Anyway, a few years ago to my immense delight, Benefit opened Brow Bars in Sydney and Melbourne and I started getting my eyebrows shaped anytime I was down. This sounds terribly jet-setty but I don't actually visit that often – hence the long months of furry caterpillars in between neat pretty eye-enhancing brows. So you can imagine my delight when they finally opened a Brow Bar in Brisbane city – Hurrah! Nice eyebrows for all! It's a fabulous Friday treat – you can (very organisedly) call to make an appointment or just walk in and hope for the best.
The girls sit you down in their bubblegum pink wonderland and discuss the shape you are after. Then it's a matter of talking weekend plans before – pouf – pretty eyebrows are revealed, framing happy sparkly eyes and you're ready to enjoy Friday night.
