Bendigo Wholefoods #1
Welcome to the store

In Lyttleton Terrace, Bendigo, there is a grocery supplier that has everything you need for fresh and healthy lifestyle; and when I say everything, I really do mean everything because their amazing range of products can get you all the way from garden to plate.

To begin with, Bendigo Wholefoods can provide you with your own high-quality seedlings. They can teach you how to raise your plants organically, selling books and gardening equipment for that purpose. They also have cooking implements with which to prepare your meals and in their library are cookbooks which will give you great ideas for your harvest.

If you want to short cut straight to dinner, without the need to garden, then Bendigo Wholefoods has plenty of fresh food ready to take home. Local free-range chicken, sourdough and semi-sourdough breads baked daily or fresh fruit and vegetables like Lebanese cucumbers, colourful capsicums, mushrooms, asparagus, peaches, nectarines, cherries, apricots and more.

Save room in your basket for olives, vanilla plum jam, homemade cordials and regional honey still dripping from the honeycomb too. You might also want to pick up some of their flour blends to do your own bread making at home.

A healthy mix of greens

Don't be fooled into thinking that good food doesn't include sweets either. Bendigo Wholefoods has a variety of chocolates and puddings in flavours such as choc-orange, date-butterscotch, cranberry with white chocolate, honey-macadamia and peach- cinnamon.

You can shop at Bendigo Wholefoods by theme, for say, Asian foods and you'll find all types of noodles, sauces and dried ingredients. They even have the bamboo sheets to roll sashimi, bamboo steamers, and other Asian cookwear, that is not available at regular supermarkets. There are Mexican, Spanish, Indian, Middle Eastern and Gluten Free ranges on the Bendigo Wholefoods shelves as well.

Additionally they have an entire section dedicated to natural care. There are organic products for skin and hair even and a substantial amount of sensible, non- chemical, environmentally friendly cleaning products.

Bendigo Wholefoods has knowledgeable staff who can advise you on all of the fascinating products in the store. As a greengrocer, nursery, organic and global food supplier, Bendigo Wholefoods are unique in what they provide and it's no surprise to see they've been the recipients of a Bendigo Community Sustainability Award.
