The popular festival returns on Saturday 8th of October, 2016.This wonderful annual event showcases Bendigo's finest wineries, inspired local food and grand gold rush architecture.
Described as a movable wine festival, is set in eight stunning venues, which are all conveniently located in Central Bendigo. The selected venues include Ulumbarra Theatre, Bendigo Town Hall, Bendigo Art Gallery – Sculpture Gallery, Rocks on Rosalind, Bunja Thai, La Piazza, The Hotel Shamrock – Federation Room and The Chinese Gardens.
The event starts from 11am to 5pm where participants will be strolling from one historic venue to the next, sampling the great wines of the region matched with gourmet food.The Bendigo and Heathcote wine regions are home to over 60 renown wineries and this event allows you to sample varieties crafted by some of the region's finest boutique and big name wine producers. Come and discover the world-class Shiraz and elegant whites for yourself!
You can move at your own leisurely pace and if there's a wine you enjoy on the day, you can order it direct from the winery or purchase it from the Pop Up Wine Shop located in the Town Hall.
Tickets for are now on sale for $120 per person and include all wine tastings, a souvenir tasting glass, food plates at six venues, carry bag, a raffle ticket and a guide book with coffee token as well as directions and information for all venues. Bendigo Heritage After Dark , on Friday 7th October at Fortuna Villa from 6pm to 9pm. This special event will see guests enjoying celebrated wines and delicious food on grounds of the 150-year-old property.
