The Bendigo Easter Festival, held on Easter weekend, will feature a wide range of unique multicultural family entertainment over the three day event.

Good Friday festivities will include the Very Perry Show, a Katy Perry Tribute Show, children's entertainment duo Shimmy Shakers and The Gondos, a chance to meet the Bouncing Bunny and Postman Pat and outdoor cinema screenings and a fireworks display. These events will be held at Rosalind Park and Dai Gum San.

Easter Saturday events will be combined with the 2012 Chinese Spring Festival and the unique annual Awakening of the Dragon event. In addition to these cultural events, children will have the chance to meet Dora the Explorer and Mr Balloon Man, participate in a range 'Fusion' activities, such as box hockey, geeta boards, children's craft, walking puppet theatre, story telling, live music and much more. A special Opera Under the Stars event, 'Nellie In Her Own Write', will close the Easter Saturday festivities. These events will be held at Rosalind Park and Dai Gum San.

Easter Sunday will see the annual Gala Parade commence from 1pm and Batacuda will also perform a special show from 3.30pm.

Also, from 10am to 10pm on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday, Carnival Central takes place at the Tom Flood Sports Centre car park.
