Easter is just around the corner and the 2017 Hazeldene's Bendigo Easter Festival is back bigger and better than ever.

This not to be missed festival over the four-day Easter long-weekend at Bendigo's beautiful Rosalind Park and surrounding streets, promises a feast of fun and entertainment with activities, rides, music, markets, food, performances and much, much more.

Watch the kids search for the 85,000 Easter eggs that will be hidden in straw - who will find the most? The Vision Australia Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Friday between 9am and 3:30pm at the Rotunda Gardens, in Rosalind Park. Tickets are $11 and can be purchased on line at Bendigo Tourism or by phone on 1800 813 153, at the Bendigo Visitor Centre or from Vision Australia, 20 Bridge Street, Bendigo.

Get lost in the amazing mirror maze presented by the Bendigo Art Gallery. The House of Mirrors is a fascinating labyrinth - can you escape seemingly endless mirrors? Tickets are available at the door and the maze will be open during the festival from 10am – 10pm.

Dance and sing along with the entertainers and maybe take a ride on a dodgem car or maybe in a historic fire truck . There is so much to see and do that you will need all four days just to experience it all.

Follow Sun Loong , the longest imperial dragon in the world, as it weaves its way through the streets in the Bendigo Advertiser Gala Parade on the Sunday at 1pm. The parade makes its way along View Street, Pall Mall, McCrae Street, Chapel Street and Bridge Street.

The festival has a rich Chinese history, a tradition that first began way back in 1879 with the first large scale contribution from the Chinese community. Why not take a Chinese Historical Walking Tour through what was once the commercial and social hub of the local Chinese community in the late 19th and early 20th centuries? Tours will be held on Friday the 14th at 9:30am and 2:30pm and are free.

Other highlights include the Torchlight Lantern Procession on Saturday night at 8pm. The procession route will again be along View Street, Pall Mall, McCrae Street, Chapel Street and Bridge Street. This unique procession lights up Bendigo's gorgeous buildings and is divided into three sections. Firstly, the fire brigade and emergency services tribute, followed by amazing lantern displays from the Bendigo Chinese Association and finishing with a spectacular fireworks display over Rosalind Park.

With so much on, checkout the full four day program here and plan your fun-filled days and nights.
