The inaugural Bendigo Craft Beer Festival will take place on 30 November 2013 at the Bendigo Racecourse.
The day will showcase the best craft beers and ciders in Victoria and beyond with more than 25 breweries in attendance, you will be able to sample up to 100 different beer and ciders. A selection of regional wineries will be offering wines by the glass.
Hosting the event will be Pete Mitcham and 'beer diva' Kirrily Waldhorn. They will be happy to chat about the benefits of a good craft beer during the information seminars.
Some of the live music throughout the day will include Jackson Firebird, Apes, The Well Hungarians, Talisa Jobe and Dan Rolls.
A range of foods will be available to complement the beers including gourmet pizza, calamari, wraps, sweet and savoury crepes, BBQ, gourmet burgers and twist potatoes.
There will be a "Kids Zone" offering various activities including a jumping castle, play area and free face painting.
A free shuttle bus service will operate between Bendigo train station and the racecourse. The first bus departs at 10.30am, running every ½ hour during the day. The last bus will leave the racecourse at 7.30pm.
The festival will use a token system. Tokens will be used to purchase all beverages and food during the day. One token is valued at $1.50. A minimum purchase is 10 tokens.
Tokens are not refundable or redeemable for cash but all unused tokens can be placed in boxes at exit points to be donated to Bendigo for Homeless Youth.
