When you say the name Ben Pearse Photography, I'm instantly taken to the Blue Mountains.

For me, Ben is known for his landscape portraits of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park. Ben photographs the serene, landscape of the Blue Mountains, with such style and elegance in his photos. What makes Ben Pearce special, for me, is he takes me to the heart of his image and I feel like I'm standing right there, experiencing these locations and the scenery right with him.

I have been a follower of his for over a year and I am yet to find a photo I wouldn't recommend. The way Ben chooses his light, subject and presents it is breathtaking. I am just an amateur when it comes to photography and I have no idea of lingo and camera settings - I just point my little compact and shoot. Ben's photos just hit home with me.

Each photo is unique; rolling clouds, mist over escarpments like the Blue Mountains and images of the Phantom Falls (you will have to visit Ben's website to see why they are called Phantom Falls). The softness, tones and different light settings are superb. Due to Ben's photos, I plan to visit these beautiful locations that Ben brings to life. He wants me there, to witness such beauty. A true professional.

Ben Pearse is a Blue Mountains based photographer, a resident of the Mountains for over 30 years, having attended Springwood High School. Ben has been an avid rock climber since his teens and bushwalker, exploring creeks, valleys and escarpments of the Mountains. Sometimes he is gone for days, just wandering the luscious areas of the Upper Blue Mountains. Ben also worked as an Operations Manager at Australian Climbing Consultants and was a Manager at Westfarmers. In 2004, Ben picked up his first camera and 4 years later, he started a new profession, photography. Today he is a skilled, well known, photographer in the Blue Mountains area, capturing photographic moments that last a lifetime in the area he grew up in.

Personally, after being an abseiler and bushwalker, have found adventurous nature lovers, all seem to love scenery - was this, Ben's foothold into his current passion?

Ben's passion for the outdoors convincingly comes across in all his photos; getting down and gritty, clampering over mossy logs, slipping, sliding, climbing rock faces, just to get that perfect angle, that one picture, it may take 1 shot, it may take 1000.

Ben selects his photographic subject with precise accuracy and takes you on an imaginary journey to his destination. Recently, Ben has worked closely with RM Williams, Blue Mountains, Lithgow ,Oberon Tourism, The Greens Party and G'day Motel Katoomba.

Ben makes his clients feel comfortable and interacts with them during photo shoots, he believes in bringing that personal touch to all his work, making every client, feel the utmost important person and definitely caters to your requirements.

The way Ben perceives nature will have you engaged - a honed eye for that slightly different yet perfect photo. Whether it's a glorious panoramic view or a stunning waterfall, Ben allows us to travel the Blue Mountains with him while he treks the rugged spectacular terrain, escarpments, awaits sunsets, sunrises for our pleasure.

Ben has a bit of humour too. He noticed three sisters at the 3 Sisters, so a perfect opportunity.Social media plays a huge part of Ben's world of photography and Ben has a high profile online.

When people ask Ben why photography, he answers "I'm looking to engage with my beautiful surrounds in which I live and present them to the community through the photographic medium. For me, photography it's not about how much camera you bring to a shoot, sure good tools help any trade, but I'm a chaser of light and mood and i like the challenge of interpreting what's before my lens and showcasing that to the public through my eyes."

Ben's areas of expertise include Portrait, Commercial, Event, Digital, Fine Art, Studio, and Archietctural Photography. Portraits, Photojournalism, Headshots, Photo Resortation and any other photography photoshoots are available. Quite a diverse field photography is.

It wasn't until 2008 when a change in career paths, due to health reasons, allowed Ben to dictate his work hours while he was recovering. Ben spent more time pursuing his photographic dream of capturing the beautiful surrounds of where he lived, especially his love of waterfalls and nature.

This area offers a diverse species of beautiful animals and breathtaking waterfalls, rivers, mountains & rugged wilderness. From the iconic Three sisters to the stunning valleys and sandstone cliff lines, Ben Pearse Photography offers a new & unique perspective of this beautiful & constantly changing landscape.
