Event:
Ben John Smith vs Koraly Dimitriadis

If you haven't made plans for this Friday night and you are a fan of raw, brave and often explicit poetry - then I suggest you get yourself down to Polyester Books in Fitzroy.

Melbourne poets - Ben John Smith and Koraly Dimitriadis will battle it out head to head and poem for poem in a poetry war.

Ben John Smith is the founder of the Horror Sleaze Trash Website which promotes indie poets, authors and artists from all over the globe. He is the author of several poetry chapbooks including Horror Sleaze Trash - which was two years in the making. Ben's poetic voice gets to the point and cuts through the fat. He discusses issues that should be discussed, that one doesn't see in conventional poetry. I was most impressed with Ben's poem entitled 'The Hair Between Us' which can be read on Ben's site, exploring a feminist issue from a male perspective.

Koraly Dimitriadis is the author of Love and F*#k Poems, which has been a sellout success. In September Love and F*#k Poems (The Deluxe Edition) launches - which has even more poems, conveying Koraly's brave and raw feminist voice, confronting topics that would make good girls blush.

So if you want to support local talent this weekend, get yourself down to Ben John Smith vs Koraly Dimitiadis at Polyester Books in Fitzroy. This is one war you won't want to miss.
