Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinemas presented 'Hail Caesar' at Brian Nadilo Reserve, Glenelg on Sunday 10th April at 7:30pm. The grounds of the open-air cinema were already filled long before the movie because on Sundays they have live performances from local musicians.

This session was with ' Thom Lion and The Tamers . Thom grew up in Adelaide and his middle name is actually Lion. The Openair cinema would be a lot smaller crowd after having performed at Clipsal 500 with Rob Thomas and Pete Murray. Their Sunday set-list included 'Mess at Best', 'Fruition', 'Emily' and 'No Man's Land'.

Movies on a Sunday are called Sunday Sessions and feature musicians before the movie and free Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream for all guests. On Sunday the 10th of April, it was a choice between Vanilla Cookie Dough and Chocolate Brownie. These sessions get families out having fun togther and feature pre-movie games including Giant Cow Jenga, Putt-Putt and Pick-a-Pat.

Guests had the option to purchase a blanket for $4 to keep them warm during the movie and a lot of guests did because the evening was quite a cold evening. Sitting in the deckchairs gave you a good view of the movie and in a comfortable setting. The only time it was a worry was if the person in front of you didn't lie back in their chair properly but as soon as the movie started this wasn't a problem. Guests who weren't in deckchairs were either on beanbags or blankets with some guests bringing their pillows and quilts and setting up their bed on the grass.

Hail Caesar scored a 6.7/10 on IMDB. It's the story of Baird Whitlock, a Hollywood movie star is kidnapped from set. Studio Producer Eddie Mannix has to figure out what happened and pay off the kidnappers in time for the final scene of the new movie, Hail Caesar. Written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen it stars George Clooney, Scarlet Johansson and Channing Tatum. This mystery comedy is set in the 1950's and really makes you appreciate the glamour of mermaids and the voices of sailors.

As this was sadly the last session of Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinema for 2016 in Adelaide, the organisers wanted to give something back; they announced before the movie began that they would be selling the beanbag lounges off at the end of the movie for only $10 each and this included the beans. When the movie came to a close guests grabbed their beanbags and lined up at the exit walking away with a very cool souvenir. Look out for Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinema back in Adelaide in summer 2017.
