Mystery is more powerful than knowledge - Ben Hart
If you are in the least bit sceptical about magic and illusion, Ben Hart will quite simply change your mind.

Ben Hart is a young man with a charming English accent and a consummate professional. Already with a long list of awards and accolades to his name, Ben is a regular on BBC1's Now You See It and has played to rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival along with being nominated for the Time Out TO&ST Cabaret Award. However, while I believe in magic, I was quite prepared to be reasonably sceptical when attending this show.

While describing himself as a magician and illusionist, Ben could also add comedian to his title. Ben's show was quite honestly a mixture of magic, illusion and comedy beyond what I can contemplate.

From magic tricks to unbelievable illusions, Ben kept us entertained for an hour (which passed in the blink of an eye) with philosophical discussion, comedy and a slight of hand I have quite honestly never seen before.

From making three rings, taken from audience members, magically link together to card tricks and working with shadows, Ben had the audience enthralled throughout. See if you can work out how Ben makes the chair collapse simply with his shadow finger!

While Ben's magic and illusion is intriguing and eminently entertaining, the nicest element of Ben's show is his brutal honesty and the genuine joy and fun that was evident in his performance. Ben is a performer who loves his work and sharing it with others.

Regardless of whether you are sceptical or not, there will be illusions performed that you will find no explanation for, and that will leave you wondering, just how did he do that!
