Just 30 minutes drive from Newcastle CBD is the tranquil Belmont and its baths on the shore of Lake Macquarie. As soon as you arrive, you'll realise that life revolves around the beautiful lakefront. This foreshore is popular among swimmers of all ages.



The baths incorporate a protective mesh and are fully enclosed, hence, perfect for swimming. However, do check for any pollution before entering. A 70-metre-long jetty with an accessible ramp can be found on one side. The facility caters rather well for those using a wheelchair and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
