Living in Terrigal, I am able to just walk for twenty minutes and bam, I am in front of the beach and a dozen or so cafes, ice creameries and fish and chips shops. For breakfast, lunch or dinner, I am spoilt for choice. One of the first places that greets the hungry diner is Bellyfish Cafe. It caters to breakfast and lunch, the former of which is available until 2pm.

Situated on the corner opposite the beach, the restaurant has tables inside and outside, the latter of which quickly fill up on a bright sunny day in winter or summer.

For breakfast, Bellyfish provides the staples: crispy bacon, eggs, fluffy, sweet pancakes with maple syrup and muesli and yoghurt, with more gourmet choices and sandwiches for lunch time. Their fluffy pancakes are some of the most delicious on the coast.

With polite, and excellent service, Bellyfish is an excellent place to start the day or just have a coffee, and catch up with friends while the waves roll gently onto the golden shores behind you.

Open 7 days 5.30 am till 3pm, and for groups of four or more, they will take breakfast and lunch bookings to ensure you get a seat at this lovely place.

So go, experience the food, enjoy the atmosphere and then take a stroll along the Terrigal Esplanade to check out the vibrance that lives there.
