This weekend, why not take a trip to the park everyone is talking about. Blue Park at Bells Reach – a new park designed to entertain the whole family. Located in the Stockland Bells Reach estate just off Caloundra Road, this park is well worth a visit.

The playground equipment is suitable for a wide range of ages. For younger children it has a separate toddler-friendly playground as well as a baby-safe swing. There is also plenty of sand to play with and lots of open spaces to run around or ride a trike. Older children are also well catered for with a series of fast slides, challenging climbing surfaces, swings and a complex ropes section, complete with crow's nest, for lots of creative play. Never has there been a better opportunity to play pirates with the kids as you 'rescue' them from the crows nest (any excuse to join in the fun).



Overlooking the park are four barbeques and a number of shaded picnic benches, making it an ideal spot for a picnic or barbecue. But if you don't want to bring your own food, you can still enjoy a snack or meal overlooking the park at the adjacent café. The Pod Café has plenty of seating with a clear view of the playground, giving parents an opportunity for a few minutes peace to enjoy a coffee whilst the kids are busy playing.

Rubbish bins, water fountains, nearby toilets and ample street parking make this a convenient and stress-free excursion. There's nothing worse than the dreaded "muumm…I need the toilet!" with no facilities in sight!

For something a little bit different, you can bring along your own ping-pong bats and balls and have a friendly game on the permanent tables. Or perhaps a game of Bocce is more your style. There are also handball courts, hopscotch markings, a soccer field with posts, and plenty of paths for scooters and bikes. The main flooring of the park is sand – so a bucket and spade can also come in handy for playing with.



Blue Park has a lot of green space and welcoming landscaping, there are plenty of spots to put down a picnic rug and relax in the shade. The park is well designed and caters for all ages with it's easy access, comprehensive facilities and wide range of activities. Our young family has enjoyed visiting it many times and highly recommend it.
