Bellevue Park is on the corner of Middle Road and Carlton Street at Greenbank. With rapid population growth in the area Middle Road has become a fairly busy road. It is the main road from the Mt Lindsay Highway at Browns Plains to the suburbs of Boronia Heights, Greenbank and beyond to Springfield and Springfield Lakes. With the traffic and wide footpaths either side of Middle Road it is a favourite venue for traders to sell their goods by the roadside. Nursermen selling plants, hay being sold from trucks and flower sellers are frequent sights by the roadside. Today as I was driving past there was a stall selling snow-cones right at the front of Bellevue Park.
The park is a favourite venue for parties. I have often driven past and observed colourful balloons and streamers tied around picnic shelters under which are groups of people apparently enjoying themselves.
In 2014, the park was rebuilt and revitalised with new and colourful playground equipment for the kids. In addition to the playground equipment the park has a half basketball court for practising and for those who prefer real barbecues with burning wood, these are available also.
