is a circular thoroughfare in the Lilydale Lakes housing estate.

It is a very pleasant walk of about 1.8kms, mostly flat with one long uphill section.

A car park in Bellbird Park, accessed from Swansea Road is the best place to start this walk with benefits.

A short path from the car park leads you across a bridge which spans Olinda Creek. Ahead you see the first of many 'McMansions', a feature of .

Here you can go left or right as either way you will end back where you started. I chose to go left, probably because I'm left-handed.

There you see the first benefit as the footpath follows the Olinda Creek for several hundred metres, giving you a couple of water views and plenty of flora.to admire.

You soon come to benefit number two, an entrance to the Olinda Creek Wetlands.

Continuing on along , houses on large blocks appear on both sides of the road with many perfectly manicured gardens.

Turning the corner at Symphony Drive the third benefit appears in the shape of Lilydale Lake. As you proceed along the , you get many glimpses of Lillydale Lake below you as you are in an elevated position.

You pass two entrances to Lillydale Lake. The first is at a high point giving fine views, with a park bench seat allowing you to sit and admire the views.

The second entrance is near the Lillydale Lake Wetlands and boardwalks. A spoon face family sit upon a nearby post to welcome you.

This section from the lake entrance and the entrance to Bellbird Wetlands is the most popular walk as that is where I encountered almost all other walkers, joggers and cyclists.

Surprisingly, the only dog sighted was a resident Jack Russell who gave me a barking welcome or a barking goodbye as I passed.

It was along this section where most of the birdlife was sighted. Plenty of magpies were seen with one in the middle of the road.

Many corellas were heard but only one showed themselves.

Many of the shrubs and bushes were in flower providing a reason to stop and admire, if only for a few seconds.

Along the boundary of Lillydale Lake, a noisy minor had found lunch and a wattlebird was still looking.

One of the pleasures, or perhaps another benefit, of walking suburban streets is a wonderful display of colourful flowers and flowering bushes in care for gardens.

It is also a pleasure looking at the gardens of more green-fingered people than ourselves.

is certainly a walk with visual benefits and fitness benefits.
