Nestled on the top of a hill in a cloud forest ecosystem, Bellavista is a haven for hikers, nature lovers, photographers, and for those who wish to escape the city for a few days. Accommodation in this Eco Lodge ranges from luxury suites to dorm style rooms, in a treehouse of all places.



The main attraction here is, of course, the nature. The lodge offers a range of guided walks covering a variety of difficulties; from some gentle level footpaths to various lookouts to wading through streams to look at hidden waterfalls.



The ecosystem supports a number of rare species which the guides have excellent and in-depth knowledge of. For all you know, you could just be looking at a black blob in a tree, but they will instantly be able to tell you everything you could want to know about that black blob in a tree, and so much more. There are an unfathomable amount of hummingbirds which can be seen within the property, particularly at the birdfeeders, which provide hours of entertainment, amongst other species of birds, insects, fauna and a few shy mammals.



There are several different options from day visits to multi-day packages, but whatever you decide to do you can be assured that you will be well looked after. There is a restaurant within the complex that offers local cuisine for all of the guests prepared on site by the fantastic staff.



The weather here is very capricious and can change instantly from pleasant sunshine to torrential rain, and quite often you will see several seasons in one day. Make sure you are well prepared for all weather conditions before coming. The enthusiasm and the knowledge of the staff will amaze you, almost as much as the nature that surrounds you.
