Wonderful options for unique Motherís Day gifts
The Belgrave South Community Market is an indoor/outdoor market offering unique products and quality one-off pieces made from local artists. Held the first Sunday of every month and located at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges, it draws crowds from all over Melbourne.

On Sunday May 4, Belgrave South will host a special Mother's Day edition of the market with all proceeds from gold coin donations (upon entry), a raffle and sausage sizzle going to Ovarian Cancer Australia. The prize for the raffle is a hamper filled with wonderful wares donated from the stallholders themselves to the value of $250.
With more than 35 individual stall holders selling everything from ladies, men's and children's clothing, arts and crafts, jewellery, and homemade treats, you will be sure to find an original gift for Mother's Day and a treasure or two to take home with you.

Also on offer on the day are an engraver on site so that you can have your mum's name engraved on the gift you so lovingly purchased for her, an artist to show you the different strokes and styles used to create a piece of artwork, and a fashion show for local designers to show their wares from 1pm -2pm.
Not sure how to keep the kids entertained whilst you leisurely peruse the local wares? They have that covered too with face painting, a giant slide, a jumping castle, cookie decorating activities and a magician on hand.

There's also food on site from French crepes to a sausage sizzle, making this market a true one-stop shop for a great day out.
Getting there is easy via the Eastern Freeway and Burwood Highway (Melway Reference: 84 F4). There is parking available and the venue is also wheelchair accessible.
If you want to give a truly unique gift this Mother's Day that somebody handcrafted and lovingly made, then go along to the Belgrave South Community Market.
