Well folks, hopefully by now there's a few more of you that have got to know the Belgrave South Community Market while you were either on your own discovery journey exploring Belgrave or from reading my last article about this lovely market. Since then, they have had an increase of stall holders that now numbers more than 60 stalls. These newcomers include fruit and vegetable stalls, fresh baked bread, organic juices and more.
With Christmas hot on our heels there will be plenty at the markets to give you ideas. How does that work?! Christmas always seems to sneak up on us. Well, lets show it who's boss and be prepared with some unique gifts, a lot of it lovingly hand-made that you can pick up at this market. Let's go all out for the last month of this year to show support towards Ovarian Cancer Australia, a charity close to the heart of this market who donates all of the gold coin entry you contribute. How generous and fantastic is that! There are also going to be two other charity stalls selling their wares and collecting for cancer and for people with disabilities. In aid of charity there will also be raffle tickets with prizes, sale of lemons, hand knitted brooches, textile and Christmas decorations donated by Yael Myerson with all proceeds again donated to Ovarian Cancer. The aim is to raise over $500 towards this charity, so please, when you enter, look for the can to put in your gold coin donation and feel free to partake in all this goodwill. Thank you so much.

Now for the BIG reveal. As a Christmas market special, we are having a couple of our current 'local stars' at the market between the hours of 11am and 12 noon, so DON'T MISS OUT! None other than Optimus Prime and Ironman will be paying a flying visit to the markets to say hello, and will be there for anyone who wants a photo opportunity with them for a gold coin donation; again to aid charity! So bring your kids down and give them a thrill to see the famous, or is that infamous Transformer and Ironman at this special Christmas market. Below is their interview on the today show which includes the video clip that catapulted them to fame and initially went viral with over 30 million views. Give the kids a real Christmas treat. It just might make a great Christmas family photo to send out this festive season. Why not turn up in your superhero outfits and have a showdown.
Mrs Pork and Mr Duk are back with their free-range and organic produce at these markets just in time to help you out with your catering needs this Christmas. Check their Facebook pages and websites to find out more about the catering services of Mrs Pork and Mr Duk. I'm already hungry after having just read through their menu and looked at the food porn on their pages which now include a breakfast menu and vegetarian options. You will also be able to purchase breakfast and lunches at their stalls while you browse around the market and The Mean Bean Coffee Machine will be back to satisfy your craving for a good hot cuppa.
Eva the tireless hardworking promoter of the Belgrave South Community Market
I hope I've got you excited about this market which has more than superheroes to offer. The stall holders offer up some excellent products and you are bound to find something that will be very special for someone in that Christmas stocking. You can check out some of what this market produces on PINTEREST and in the last review written about them. Now there are even more stalls to explore. Just make sure you do not miss out on the 1 hour superhero time slot!
Last but not least, I pay kudos to the tireless Eva who single handedly works so very hard at promoting this market for the gain of all the stall holders and various charities she welcomes generously and supports. Her passion and hard work is evident everywhere in her management and organisation of the market and in her liaising with the stall holders. She updates the Facebook page and gets everyone going and makes sure she also puts out an Event Page. She finds the time to make a promotion video as you can see below and now I notice she's gone on Pinterest too as part of her publicity machine. Her payment and thanks is the joy she feels so go ahead and make her day. Come along and enjoy the market and all it has to offer. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe, happy and prosperous New Year.
