Just in time to see out Summer later this month, it is the perfect time, to do a spot of gardening and what better place to hang out than the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens. The Queensland Begonia Society will be hosting a one day event dedicated to begonia's at the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens Auditorium on Saturday, 29th of February. This is a must-do event for any garden enthusiast or anyone who wants to expand their garden.
The organisers have everything covered, for a day full of activities for any garden enthusiast to get excited about. Let the professionals chat with you about growing begonias, show you how to grow, trim and look after begonias at the begonia plant workshops that kick off at 10am and 11:30am. This is the largest begonia display in Queensland, that will be showcasing the wide variety of begonias, endangered species, new hybrids and rare varieties. The good people of the Begonia Society are making it a day-long event with the event kicking off at 9am. View these spectacular plants in the varied competition classes and their varied foliage and colourful blooms. Meet and pick the brains of the experienced growers and begonia enthusiasts, buy begonia's and books published by members of the society and try your luck at 'Name this Begonia' competition.
