Learn to weave your own piece of fabric on a loom
Weaving was almost one of those 'dying arts' which so many people spoke about in the early 2000's before the craft revolution across the world breathed new life into activities which had almost become extinct. The Queensland Spinners, Weavers and Fibre Artists Guild has been carrying on the teaching of this age-old art in their HQ, Fibre House in Auchenflower, since 1969 and this year there is one single chance to get on board for their beginner's class in weaving.

Spinners, Weavers, Fibrecraft, Craft, Handmade, Felt, Yarn, Wool, Beads, Market

Learn how to warp, dress and weave on a multi-shaft loom and at the end, you will have your very own piece of woven fabric to take home with you! This is a two day workshop which promises to take you from the beginning and have you ready to complete projects on your own by the time you complete the course.

When: 30th - 31st August
Time: 9am - 4pm both days
