I am a writer living in Annerley, Brisbane. I write about my suburb and other local spots. If you like my articles please subscribe (just after my name) or 'like' at the end of the post to let me know what else I should write! I love comments too :)
You can try this technique to see how it 'felt'
Make your very own unique hand felted scarf using either a silk georgette or wool base and embellishing it with wool and silk fibers, yarn and recycled fabric. You can build upon these skills when you get home with loads of additional information imparted to you by teacher, Shelley Burton.
All materials you will need on the day and you can choose from a huge amount of fun coloured wools and natural fibres to make your scarf your very own.
Felting takes time and some muscles but it can also be quite soothing and meditative. If you like to create and don't mind taking your time, this could be your next favourite craft with cheap materials and a beautiful outcome.
Annerley Community Hub is a community centre which supports those who are in a vulnerable situation or who might need a helping hand. A portion of the fee for this class goes back to the Hub to ensure that it remains open and available for those who rely upon it's services.
