Deliciously big, sweet and fresh strawberries
Apply sunscreen, bring a hat and away you go. The strawberry picking season is here. The strawberry patch at Beerenberg Farm in Hahndorf is now open for you to enjoy a day out with the family.

Picking strawberries at Beerenberg Farm has become kind of a tradition for me, and a trip or two there each year is inevitable. The strawberries are deliciously big, sweet and fresh. I reckon they are the best strawberries one could ever have. If you've never tried them before, give it a go this year, you won't be disappointed.

The season begins in November and usually goes up to until April. Do check their website before heading out just to make sure that the patch will actually be open. Sometimes they get picked out when they are super busy.

Beerenberg Farm is located on Mount Barker Road, just continue along the main street from the Hahndorf town centre. Head straight to the farm shop when you arrive to obtain your wristband and container. Entry fee is $4 per person. Then follow the red flag to the patch and start picking. The strawberries are $9.95 per kilogram. Prices are a bit dear but they are worth it if you love strawberries.
