Beestings never tasted so sweet at the Beechworth Bakery
The Beechworth Bakery in Healesville opened in 2006 and has become one of the more popular spots to stop for a coffee or snack while visiting the area or passing through on the way to Lake Eildon in the Summer or to Lake Mountain during the Winter, as well as a favourite of locals.
The Bakery sells a variety of delicious sweets and cakes, with their famous 'Beesting' - a soft bun filled with custard, lightly spread with apricot jam and topped with toffeed almonds, being one of the Bakery's most popular items.
The hot pastries are crowd pleasers also, with their Ned Kelly Pie being very popular, along with their range of other delightful pastries such as the Caulioli Pie (cauliflower and broccoli), the spinach and fetta roll, their tasty sausage rolls and variety of other pies and pasties.
Coffees, lattes, chai, mocha, babychinos - you name it, they make it. If you prefer a cooler drink, the milkshakes, thickshakes and iced chocolate or coffees are just lovely. In warmer months frozen soft drinks are available. There is also a free water fountain for unlimited refills!
