Discover a secret that would keep the kiddies quiet
A little bit of the country, near the ocean, in our city! That's a perfect description of the popular Beck's Bakehouse.
There is something about this place that draws people from every walk of life.
Arriving early morning with kiddies in tow, we settled into our favourite table outside in the sunshine with the amazing Anzac cookies that the bakery sells. They must be good when you don't hear a peep from children!!
A fabulous buzzer system is in place so when my mug of long black coffee is ready it will be served to me on the outside servery after notifying me by the flashing and vibrating. All the tables are set up so even those parents there with the kids alone, its not far to go to collect your coffee.
Sipping the fabulous coffee, I watch the types of people that are coming in, filling the bakery up fast. You have your tradies coming in for morning tea or selecting one or two of the delicious and often different pies they have to offer for lunch. A mothers group parks the prams inside around the couches for coffee and cake and baby chinos. A bunch of cyclists pull-up and sit on the stools outside near where they have parked their bikes. There is plenty of room for dine in and takeaway customers!
The smells are what make you want to buy just a little something to take home. Do you select freshly baked bread or a cream filled sweet treat? Or maybe get a fresh bread roll full of assorted toppings for lunch? Either way Beck's Bakehouse surely doesn't disappoint and caters for everyone.
