The Salted Caramel and Chocolate Tart is a signature of Becasse Bakery.
Unlike those available at other bakeries and patisseries, Becasse's has the salted caramel on top of the ganache. The version in Emporium Melbourne features 3 layers of indulgence that is an ideal portion for one person.
The thick buttery caramel sprinkled with salt flakes is balanced by the sweet and smooth ganache spread evenly over a round dish of dark lightly bitter cocoa shortcrust pastry. Definitely one of the best deserts out of the kitchen at $6.90 that makes for a tasty morning or afternoon tea snack.
