Play space for the kids

Beauty Park is a nice little park situated in Frankston. It offers walking/cycling tracks, a play area, undercover seating, barbecues, and a lovely lake with ducks to look at.

Today my partner and I visited Beauty Park with our four year old nephew. He loved the little play area for kids which includes a big spider climbing frame and looking at the ducks swimming around in the lake.

The park has a walking path that circles around it, taking approximately ten minutes to walk around it fully. It's a great track to walk for exercise or taking the dog out.

The park is a great place to catch up with friends or for birthday parties in the summer. The undercover seating offers plenty of tables plus public barbecue facilities for those wanting to bring food. I found these facilities to be very clean. A year ago I attended a first birthday party at the park and it turned out to be a great choice of venue because of all the seating available and large open space for kids to play.

Away from the play area is a small fitness section where you can get some warm up exercises and stretches in before you take off for a jog or walk. There is even a handy board with information regarding heart health which was intriguing and would be beneficial to anyone who attends the park for regular exercise.

A quiet spot to exercise

There are a couple of downsides to this park. It is very close to a primary school which means if you visit during a weekday it can be quite loud if the children are outside playing. The second thing is that the playground is very small and really only suitable for children under the age of five.

Other than these two things it's still a great part of Frankston to visit.
