Brought to you by the Canberra Philharmonic Society
It's my pleasure to tell you about the Canberra Philharmonic Society's first show for 2019. Beauty and the Beast runs for 13 shows in March.
Beauty and the Beast
The Philo's first show for 2019!

I need not say too much about the story nor the Philo. Beauty and the Beast is a Disney classic and a family favourite loved by the young and old alike. Some would even describe it as a tale as old as time. (Sorry, very lame but I couldn't resist. Did anyone else just start singing along with Angela Lansbury?).

I've talked up the Philo before too. They're a great local theatre group and have enjoyed sell-out seasons for their last several shows. They sure know how to entertain. That being said, I am particularly excited about this production where the Philo I assume return to what they do best: telling simple stories simply but beautifully. No tricks, no acrobats, no light shows. Just talent.

Beauty and the Beast opens on Thursday 7 March 2019 at 8 pm at the Erindale Theatre at Wanniassa. It's a top theatre very comfortable and there's plenty of parking and eateries nearby. Performances are on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights until 23 March, with two 2 pm matinees on Saturday 16 and 23 March.

You can book online or over the phone (02 6257 1950) and you can take advantage of the early bird saver or $5 off each ticket if you get in now. Tickets are $35 for children and $55 for adults. And get a load of this: there's a family option available where adult tickets are down to $35 each when parents take their little people to the show.

Trust me, you'll love this one. The little people will love it. Let's face it too: I'll probably cry. Until then, I'm off to watch my old copy of Bedknobs and Broomsticks
