I know what you're thinking, Czech cuisine? What even is Czech cuisine? That's exactly what I thought, and exactly why I took a chance on Beast & Co.

I actually had a unique experience when going to Beast & Co, as our reservation was right after the entire restaurant was packed with concertgoers, so we had the entire place to ourselves, to begin with, but sadly the restaurant had already started to run out of dishes so we had to make a substitution to the chef selection set menu.

We got the chef selection menu of $79 per person (minimum 2 people), with a substitution of barley risotto instead of the house-made potato "noky" because they sadly ran out before we arrived. The food was all absolutely delicious, and the perfect size to enjoy every bite without feeling overly full.

There definitely needed to be more of these, I tried to savour every bite and take my time, but I ran out of croquette way too fast!

The pickled fruit was definitely a first for me but was definitely a tasty new experience.

I'm usually not the biggest fan of tartare dishes, but this was lovely, and such a good balance with the crostini.

This was a very rich dish and was very very buttery. Lucky for me, I love the taste of butter and thoroughly enjoyed this dish (probably one of my favourites of the night).

This steak was so juicy and tender, and I always appreciate a restaurant that can cook a great steak.

The staff were very lovely and snuck a birthday candle on our Czech doughnut. As a self-proclaimed doughnut connoisseur I can say with confidence that this was a mighty fine doughnut. It hit the spot and was a great dessert. I genuinely had to stop myself from eating more than my fair share and split the dessert evenly.

You can also find the food and drink menu online, as well as the bottomless brunch (for weekends) menu.

You can book online , order gift cards , and check out upcoming specialty events via the Beast & Co website.

Something I would be keen to try is the bottomless brunch which starts on Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 5pm (last seatings by 3pm), there is even a vegan and vegetarian option available!

I'm also keen to go back again for cocktail Thursday, with 5 mini cocktails paired with your meals. There are so many fun-themed event nights that going back will feel like a new and fun experience each time. Plus with food this nice you'll definitely want to return.
