A newcomer to Melbourne, I love exploring the city and sourrounds by day and night, finding bargains, learning new things, the great outdoors and Melbourne life in general.

Popular cafe in Glen Iris
Impressive service, a varied menu and comfortable surroundings, Beans Repubique has it all.
Open daily for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee, this could be your new venue for a catch up with friends or to grab half an hour to yourself.
On the menu you will find pancakes, omelettes, burgers, salads, sandwiches, sliders and baked goods as well as daily specials. To drink; hot drinks, milkshakes, spiders and frappes.
I enjoyed a hot chocolate and brunch. Opting for a healthy option, I was still a little hungry without any bread to fulfill my usual appetitie for carbs but the dish was delicious, particularly the balsamic dressing.
You could be tempted by one of the freshly cooked cakes or pastries luring customers into the cafe.
Lunch or breakfast would you set you back about $25 which is not cheap. However, its homely with quick and accomodating service (I was able to make modifications to my brunch without any trouble at all).
Beans Republique also offers catering for functions and is currently running weekend high teas from 19.95 a head.
I didn't realise but Beans Republique is a franchise. I can't speak for all premises but I can definitely vouch for the Glen Iris cafe. Quality food, friendly service and a laid- back feel, I can see myself becoming a regular.
