As its name suggests, Beans and Cream Gelateria is a great place to grab coffee and enjoy a wide range of delicious gelato. The coffee beans used in their coffees are noted to be roasted at Barossa Coffee Roasters, a place in the Barossa Valley renowned for roasting their coffee beans in small batches. The café appears to be very popular with the locals.

One of my favourite ice cream flavours, the Cookies and Cream Gelato was very enjoyable, with a delectable creamy flavour and chunks of crushed cookies of a generous size. The ice cream also incorporated some hazelnut spread to enhance its flavour.

For a gelato that is not as rich, you could consider giving their Apricot Gelato a try. The gelato had a very smooth texture and had just the right amount of apricot flavour to give it a refreshing taste with a hint of sourness.

Those who cannot consume milk-based products need not worry about missing out on the fun as Beans Cream Gelateria also offer some dairy free ice cream. We decided to try their dairy free Chocolate Ice Cream and were delighted that the lack of cream did not negatively affect its texture, compared to "conventional" ice cream. It also had a rich chocolatey flavour that is quite similar to dark chocolate.

Aside from their ice creams and coffee, Beans Cream Gelateria also have a selection of sandwiches, cold rolls and sushi making it ideal for brunch or a light lunch. We also had the pleasure of trying some Barossa Cold Brew, a chilled coffee that is brewed and bottled in the Barossa Valley region. If you are looking a good place in Tanunda for some ice cream, consider giving a Beans Cream Gelateria a visit. The yummy gelatos and chilled coffee complete the lovely Stonegrill lunch that we had at Valley Hotel.

Apricot gelato sounds delicious. I've never come across that flavour before.
