Beachside Food and Wine Festival, a Free Event at Christies Beach & Port Noarlunga

The Beachside Food & Wine Festival is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy fun, food and festivities in this scenic area south of Adelaide. With a focus on McLaren Vale food and wine this year, people will flock from far and wide for this festival.

The City of Onkaparinga encompasses suburbs from Flagstaff Hill all the way down to Sellicks Beach. It includes the food and wine haven of McLaren Vale, the beachside fun of Port Noarlunga, historic Willunga and neighbouring scenic Port Willunga, and part of the Battunga Country. With such an assortment of Adelaide attractions, the area is a very popular place to live.

Fun Things to Do & Fantastic Food and Wine

This year the Beachside Food & Wine Festival is being held over two locations for the first time - at Christies Beach from 10am-3pm, and Port Noarlunga from 2-10pm. To make it easy for festival visitors to take part in the free things to do at both locations, the organisers are offering a range of transport options.

Free shuttle transfers will be available from Noarlunga Centre bus and train station, Christies Beach and Port Noarlunga. For the more adventurous, Rosemont rickshaw bikes will also be available as a fun travel option between Christies Beach and Port Noarlunga.

Market Stalls With Fleurieu Peninsula Produce at This Free Event

The Beachside Food & Wine Festival has been designed to offer fun things to do for all ages. A huge range of more than 60 market stalls will be tempting visitors to sample gourmet local produce, admire hand crafted artisan goods, or simply enjoy some of the finest food and wine available in Adelaide.

Watch a fashion parade or ponder the paintings at an art exhibition hosted in conjunction with the Port Noarlunga Arts Centre. Even take camel rides along the beach - if you dare. If you're hungry after that try unique food ideas including Design your Donut, the Frozen Beer Company and the Winnebago food van.

There's Loads of Fun for Kids at Port Noarlunga

There are plenty of activities for kids too. A merry-go-round ride has never been refused by an adventurous child, or you can settle for free fun for kids at the Christies Beach playground. Also at Port Noarlunga will be the Air Diffusion Agencies Outdoor Ice Skating Rink operating from 10am to 10pm. Prices for ice skating are $15 for adults and $10 per child for 30 minutes. At 8pm settle down with a rug and snacks and enjoy the beachside ambience with a free seaside cinema at Rotary Park.
