Beaches & Cream Cafe

Set in a leafy, sun-lit, courtyard-style arcade, Beaches & Cream is a gorgeous cafe and restaurant in Inverloch, not far from the beach and just a couple of hours from Melbourne's city.

The surrounding shops sell clothing, jewellery and lanterns so it was important for me to stop in here for sustenance.

To this end, I enjoyed a skinny cappuccino along with a not-so-skinny chocolate hedgehog. Both were divine.

I ordered from the front counter. There were other slices to choose from, for example, vanilla and lemon, as well as cakes and biscuits. There was also a regular menu as well as a Specials board, with options like grilled vegetables and Mexican poached eggs with avocado and salsa. Spiders and smoothies also seemed popular here.

The staff were lovely and the prices were decent.
