Bundeena Kayaks has their popular
Beach Kayak Tour twice daily. For 1.5 hours you can take in the scenic bays and beaches of this paradise and if you're a beginner, it's the perfect way to learn the sport of kayaking. Experienced guides will teach you how to wear your safety vest, kayak and paddle, as they take you through basic instructions. The guides are with you throughout the tour.
There is no need for kayaking experience, but you must be able to swim and be reasonably fit. An adult must accompany each child.
The Tour
Helping you to learn a new water sport while you enjoy seeing fish, birds and if you're lucky, turtles. This is a perfect way to explore this beautiful Port Hacking waterway while you are learning the sport and being guided.
Cost and Times
$77 per adult / $55 per child (each child must be accompanied by an adult).
$60 pp for groups of 10 or more.
This kayak tour runs most days at 10.30 and 12.30. Other timeslots may be available, check the Bundeena Kayaks
website for details. Hire of the kayak, paddle, safety vest and dry bag is included in the tour price.
Itinerary
Paperwork needs completing, safety vest fitting and organising your gear needs to be done prior to the tour start, so meet 15 minutes before it starts.

You will kayak along Deeban Sand-Spit, to the secluded Little Darook Park or around Bundeena ferry wharf depending on the weather.

Kayaks are stable, comfortable and suited to beginners.
There is some storage in the kayak but a larger, safer storage area is at the base.

What to Bring
Water, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, towel and a change of clothes.
Wear comfortable clothes and a lightweight all-weather jacket may be needed in case of rain. During winter, bring extra jumpers and all-weather gear.
Parking
There is a car park at Audley, $12 per day for cars, larger vehicles may incur extra charges.
From Loftus - from Princes Highway, turn into Farnell Avenue, drive across Audley Weir, and turn right into Triangle car park.
From Waterfall: turn off the highway at Waterfall station, go to the end of McKell Avenue, turn left onto Sir Bertram Stevens Drive and follow to Audley then turn left into Triangle car park before the weir.
Note: Please check weather conditions before travelling to Bundeena, in times of heavy rain there may be flooding and Audley Weir may be closed.
