The Beach Burrito Company at South Bondi* is A for reasonable, cheerful and oh so Mexicali food.
The Sangria Sundays or Wicked Wing Wednesdays are the highlights of their day specials. Coming in at between $14-20 per main and drinks $4-10. The beer buckets are a steal with 5 for $35! [Choose any 5 Mexican beers – we opted for the 5 x Pacificos]
We tasted the pulled beef seasoned beef fajita burrito with extra jalapenos and smokey salsa. Other options on the menu include nachos, grilled fish, tofu and roasted vegetables , chimichangas, quesadillas, enchiladas, salads (for you rabbit eaters or carb conscious) and tacos (both soft and crispy shell).
Those with tots – there is also a kiddy menu with fish & chips, cheese and lettuce burritos/taco/quesadilla, rice with beans and cheese or plain corn chips for the munchkins to nibble on.
Con: No BLOODY MARY which means no micheladas to go with our beer… (michelada: Mexican cerveza preparada made with beer, lime juice, and assorted sauces, spices, and peppers)
Pro: awesome margaritas, great location and tasty treats!
* Also located in: Coggee, Cronulla, Darlinghurst, Jindabyne, Wollongong, Fortitude Valley (QLD), Westend (QLD), Canberra (ACT) and Fitzroy (VIC).
