The popular ABC show The Weekly is in need of TV audience members. You'll get to watch Charlie Pickering, Tom Gleeson, Kitty Flanagan and Briggs live as they investigate the week's headlines in their hilarious, mock-up manner.
The Weekly airs on ABC Wednesday nights 8:30 pm but audiences are required to be there at 4 pm.
The Weekly likes to call itself ABC's flagship current events program but they also think they might be more realistic if they referred to themselves as 'a few bogans in a blow-up dinghy."
To be in the audience you need to be over 16. You cannot bring in any large bags.
The organiser will contact you via phone or email to confirm your tickets prior to filming.
You are not permitted to sell your tickets. And you need to be aware that this is a recorded event and therefore you consent to any use of the recording of you if the camera happens to pick you out in the audience.
Being in a TV show audience is always a good fun night out. You get top rate entertainment and all for free. It is a good thing to take your older teenagers if they are interested in TV production, acting or in this case stand up comedy.
There aren't many things you can do for free in Melbourne but this is one of them.
The event is held at Australian Broadcasting Corporation Southbank Centre at 120 Southbank Boulevard, Southbank so another interesting side to this is entering a TV studio.
