The Salvation Army Australia has to be one of the most trusted and well known charity organisations in Australia. The charity and help they give out to people going through a hard time is tangible. The funds you raise during the Souperhero challenge will assist the Salvos to continue to provide the good work they do to help those experiencing hardship and disadvantage. There is no doubt the recipients of their help are eternally grateful for their charitable intervention.
They reach out and go where many do not tread. They provide emergency food parcels, grocery vouchers, help with utility bills, offer beds and meals, offer financial counselling to struggling families so they can make the most of their dollars, they help with unemployment, addiction, domestic violence and much more.
However, none of this would be possible without your generosity and compassion. All you need to do to take on the challenge is to replace every meal with soup to raise much needed funds. One of Australia's much loved TV Chef (Better Homes and Gardens) and acclaimed Food Author, Fast Ed (Ed Halmagyi) will take part in this year's challenge and he'll be whipping up special soup recipes suitable for all mealtimes, even breakfast.
So go on, head on over to Souperhero Central Command and join the squad of Souperheroes and fulfil your mission.
