Need some ideas for kid's activities during the school holidays? Sign up your kids and family to 'Be A Farmer For A Day (BFFD), on the 12th / 13th January 2014 at the Golden Ridge Animal Farm, in the beautiful hills district of Dural. This fun and educational program will be a great day out for the entire family.
Apart from getting the opportunity to hold baby animals, animal feeding, milking the cows, bottle feeding baby lambs/goats, the highlight of the day is having guided tour around the farm as a group and the farmers will be walking around to answer all the questions you have.
Other activities organised specially for this BFFD event include scarecrow stuffing, egg collecting, pony rides, sheep and goat racing as well as arts and crafts. Many attractive prizes await winners of the Golden Eggs hunt.
Everyone is encouraged to come on the day dressing up like farmers. Cafe style coffee, cookies and snacks can be bought at the cafe in the farm. Fruits and vegetable stalls by local growers will be there to sell their fresh produce. Lunch is included in the entry fee such as BBQ Sausages, fresh chicken sticks, fruit platter, cordial and perhaps afternoon tea.
The cost is $25 per person including lunch, $15 per kid (1-3 years old), and free for kids under 1. Pricing for feed and rides are excluded. Booking can be made via online from the website. This event will book out soon so if you are interested in the event, sign up quickly.
