The first time I was taken to BBQ City, located on Gouger Street, Adelaide, I was sceptical. It is kind of dingy looking and there are cooked ducks and chickens hanging in the window.

I ignored my reservations about its appearance and stayed for lunch.

Man, was I glad I did.

I had the BBQ pork and rice and it was amazing.

The fried dumplings are delicious. With selected beers, wines and soft drinks available, you can have a two course lunch and drink for under $20

However service is a bit of a let down. I have returned several times and am unsure if it is simply the language barrier or just rudeness but the food is well worth it.
