A lover of Brisbane, particularly the Moreton Bay region at Wynnum Manly and the beautiful Scenic Rim and have live in the Queensland Outback. A freelance writer always looking for the new and quirky places and event in my own backyard.
Family Carols by the Bay
Traditional carols, a picnic in the park, bayside views and just a few days to Christmas. What better way than to relax and enjoy a great sing-along at the Wynnum Bayside Christmas Carols on Saturday 22 December?
Pack a picnic basket and blanket and enjoy this great community family event. Food and drinks will be available and songbooks on hand to sing along to your favourite carols.
Carols commence at 6.30 with the Queensland Services Heritage Band playing a host of traditional and modern carols from 'Once in Royal David's City', 'O Little Town of Bethlehem' to the modern renditions of 'Ding Dong Merrily' and the popular 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town'.
A Christmas message will be delivered by the Salvation Army with traditional carol carols to end the evening.
George Clayton 'Lighthouse' Park is on the Wynnum Manly Esplanade - on the junction with Gordon Parade - between the two lovely village of Wynnum Manly and just 30 minutes for the Brisbane CBD. Plenty of parking is on the roads surrounding the Park.
