If you are searching for quirky or classy gifts, then take yourself down to Cleveland. The Bayside Antique and Collectables Centre is like the Tardis of collectables. The shop looks small when you enter and opens up into an Aladdin's cave of treasures.
An Aladdin's cave of wonders
Rooms and rooms of collectibles include the usual beautiful, crystal, dinnerware, furniture, glassware. Delft tick, Royal Winton tick, Moorcroft vases tick.
But wait there is more! Upstairs there are clothes, hats, bags, suits and shoes. Around the corner, you will find cameras, toys, records, games, army memorabilia, coins stamps and furniture. The list goes on and each display is beautifully maintained. You won't be scrabbling through dusty shelves but wandering through a museum where you can buy your dream.
Clothing, shoes and handbags
If you are looking for unique jewellery, here is your chance. It's well-priced and highly unusual. I spent an hour there yesterday. I initially thought I was entering a tiny shop but found I was walking through around 30 different shop spaces. I left with some additions to my own collections.
Something for everyone
They are open 7 days a week 10 am – 5 pm, so there is no excuse. If you can't get to Cleveland, their website has good links for you to browse through.
