Batty Boat Cruises have been around for 30 years, helping people understand the importance of bat populations and unpicking some of the myths about them as well.
Orphaned bats
Picture Luke Marsden. The Australian Bat Clinic and Wildlife Trauma Centre which has helped save 130 orphaned bats.

So to celebrate this milestone Batty Boat Cruises have launched a Bat Photo Competition open to all – the only requirement is that you send in a photo of an Australian Bat species.

If your photograph wins not only will you be awarded a $100 Coles Myers gift Card but your photograph will be featured on the merchandise sold aboard the Batty Boat Cruises.

It's a topic I have often written about and I have been on a Batty Boat Cruise and enjoyed the ride but also the learning experience. Batty Boats are holding a Batty Boat Cruise on Sunday the 29th of March 2015. This might be the opportunity to capture that winning shot.

So don't miss this chance to take the boat down the Brisbane River and hear what bats do for the environment and the wider community.
