To celebrate the turn of the French Revolution, the uprising to overthrow the bourgeoisie and unity of the French people, Balgownie Estate is hosting a Bastille Day lunch in their charming winery restaurant.
Balgownie Estate is Bendigo's oldest winery offering luxury Glamping tents, historic cellar door with wine tasting, a restaurant with picturesque views of the vines and accommodation.
On Bastille Day, Sunday, 14th July 2019, guests can enjoy an exclusive French-Inspired lunch. Choose from a 2 course or 3 course French menu prepared by Chef Travis Rodwell.
The menu is full of classic dishes made using traditional French culinary practices. Highlights include your choice of Cauliflower and goats cheese souffle, Sesame crusted Yellowfin tuna a la Nicoise, Cassoulet, Bouillabaisse, Wagyu bourguignon, Callebaut chocolate fondant and Apple tart tatin. You can complement your lunch with a classic French Martini. French Wines are also available by the glass.
