Not your average cafe
The festive season is obviously the busiest time of the year. Like most people I had various dinners, work dos and catch ups planned. One of which was our annual mother's group Christmas dinner - our sixth one in a row. After a failed attempt to eat at another restaurant (even though we had booked a table and were sitting there they neglected to tell us when they closed the kitchen and we were too late to order!!) we ended up at Your text goes here in Currambine.

It had only been open a week but had a great feel already. Situated between the cinemas and the newly refurbished Oscar's Restaurant it has an wide, open and airy dining room with plenty of tables by big open windows. The staff were smiling, friendly and very accommodating and the kitchen certainly wasn't closed before 8:30pm!

There is something for everyone on the menu. Their website quotes, "Our menu brings the bustling tapas bar scene and rustic food of Spain to Currambine." There are small tapas plates if you're after something light. Large tapas plates if you're hungry or wanting to share. Main meals that are a little bit more special than the average cafe. Many of their meal options are gluten free or can be made gluten free with no drama.

All of our meals were delicious - as was the tapas that some of our party ordered. The chorizo and olives were amazing. The wine list had a good choice including many Margaret River wines. Or if you're in the mood (and not driving) you can have a cocktail, spirits, beer, cider - you name it. For those driving there are plenty of soft drinks and juices. Finish off the evening with a coffee or other hot drink.

Whether you want a small snack before a movie, have a group of people who all want to try a range of tapas or want to settle in for the evening with drinks, a meal then dessert (or the other places you planned on going have shut their kitchens!) - this is the perfect place.

We ate here last week and had tapas to share; absolutely gorgeous! The goats cheese soufflé was heaven! Great review.
