Less than ten minutes drive from Geelong CBD is a lovely place for families to call home while away from home. Barwon River Holiday Park offers a variety of family-friendly cabins catering for five to nine people. We based ourselves here for a couple of nights to explore more of this bustling regional city and were not disappointed.



Our five-berth twin family cabin had everything we needed. It was spacious and fully self-contained with a lounge area, a kitchen, a bathroom and two bedrooms. Both rooms had a double bed, plus a single over-the-top in the second. The kitchen came with all the necessary utensils for us to cook up a storm. A delicious Thai green curry sure hits the spot on a cold winter's night! Heating was available in the living space but not within the rooms.



If your cabin kitchen wasn't sufficient for any reason, then simply check out the camp kitchen and undercover BBQ facilities onsite. The park also features a heated swimming pool, a jumping pillow, a playground and more. Pedal go-karts can be hired too. All amenities were very well maintained.
