The fish is fresh, fresh, fresh - an oasis in the CBD
Barramundi Bar and Grill is an oasis in Sydney's CBD within close walking distance from Wynyard Station on the corner of Jamison and Lang Streets. It overlooks an attractive park which gives the cafe a tranquil atmosphere.
My dining experience there was enjoyable, the food excellent and the atmosphere vibrant with a buzz from Friday night revellers enjoying an after work drink.
Fresh seafood dining at its best in the Sydney CBD
This establishment ticks all the boxes for a good night out in the city. Have a drink, then move into the dining area, which is far enough away from the bar for you to enjoy a quiet lunch or dinner in an attractive eating area.
I had dinner at Barramundi Bar and Grill a few weeks ago on a Friday evening with my friend, before attending the Symphony at the Opera House, which is only a short walk away.
I chose from the menu the barramundi fillet wrapped in prosciutto, oven baked, on creamy mash potatoes, truss tomatoes and balsamic glaze. The Barramundi was fresh, succulent and very flavoursome. The presentation was great, which made the whole dish a delightful experience.

My friend choose the char grilled lamb back straps served on a mixed leaf salad with roasted capsicum, feta cheese and shaved fennel. This also looked and tasted great, the lamb was tender and full of flavour. The salad was fresh and crisp and made an ideal accompaniment for the lamb.

If you are in Sydney CBD make a point of dropping into Barramundi Bar and Grill for a drink in the Busy Bar. Have a business lunch or dinner before a show. Take your pick, that is what is terrific about this establishment, there are lots of choices. It offers it all under the one roof and is well worth a visit.
I too have been to Barramundi Bar and Grill on a number of occasions. It's lovely setting and proximity to Wynyard transport is very convenient
