The Barossa Vintage Festival is a celebration of Barossan wine, food, culture and heritage. It will be held in various locations within the region from the 24th to the 28th of April 2019. Many events have been scheduled, but here are some of the free ones which you can enjoy with family and friends.
Guten Appetit - Thursday 25th April
Presented by Langmeil Thanksgiving Lutheran Church in Tanunda, you are invited to an afternoon of food, music, heritage and culture. You will learn about the Langmeil families' history and favourite traditional recipes. Free afternoon tea and historical tours of the church and cemetery.
Langmeil historical self-guided tour - Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th April
Presented by Langmeil Winery in Tanunda, you have the opportunity to visit historical points of interest of the original Langmeil village. Head to the cellar door when you arrive to collect your self-guided tour brochure.
Step Back in Time - Monday 22nd to Friday 26th April
Presented by Bethany Lutheran Church in Bethany, you can experience the life of a typical first German settlement. There will be daily demonstrations of wood-working, butter-making and rope-making as well as historic displays.
The Festival Parade - Saturday 27th April
Making its way from Nuriootpa to Tanunda, the parade is considered to be one of the most iconic events of the festival. Get there early to stake out a spot along the route and watch the procession of floats.
