Barossa Seasons entices visitors and locals alike to explore the Barossa all year round and celebrate the local wine, food and experiences.

Summer is the season of longer days and warm nights, picnicking with friends, walking or riding the bike trails of the Barossa, enjoying great food and wine as dusk slips slowly into darkness and Barossa Seasons: Summer will give you the perfect opportunity to do all this and more.



With seven events over the three day of January 11th, 12th and 13th, Barossa Seasons: Summer offers a wide variety of activities and experiences for everyone from wine lovers to those who like to kick up their heels in a party type atmosphere. You can listen to the sounds of vinyl, taste the subtle flavours of local wines and beers, indulge your taste buds with a wide variety of delicious foods and witness the speed and excitement of horse races in the twilight, all within the beautifully scenic Barossa area.



Participating venues include the 1918 Bistro & Grill, Lindsay Wine Estate, the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club, Chateau Yaldara, The Greenock, Rosenvale Wines and Ubertas Wines.

The 1918 Bistro & Grill will offer their guests the opportunity to taste and vote for their three favourite wines in the Barossa Blend Challenge and go into a draw to win all ten of the wines in the Challenge.

Lindsay Wine Estate will present Art, Vino and Vinyl, celebrating the artistry of wine, visual arts, music and food. Art and vinyl will be available for sale and tasty eats will be provided by Barossa Street Food.

The Gawler and Barossa Jockey Club will give visitors a chance to sample some of the best Barossa wines whilst enjoying the excitement of a twilight race meeting. With plenty of space to spread out a picnic rug and amusements provided for children, this is an event for the whole family.



Chateau Yaldara will host a Hawaiian Luau. Come along in your floral best to enjoy a complimentary Lei and glass of Hawaiian Punch and, at your leisure, partake of a three-course Hawaiian feast. A guitarist, DJ and face painter will help to get you in the mood.

The Greenock is the place to go for a special Pub Garden Picnic which will feature a selection of amazing local wines, beers and ciders with American style smoked meats and delicious brick-oven pizzas accompanied by a great line-up of live music and DJs.

Rosenvale Vineyards' special event is Summer Sliding. Come along to experience an afternoon of chilled out tunes under a cool verandah overlooking stunning views while you enjoy Summer Sliders (vegetarian options are available) with Rosenvale's specialty Frosé and a selection their wines.



Ubertas Wines will serenade you with some of South Australia's best live musicians as you sit back with family and friends on a balmy summer evening, watching the sun set over the vineyards and enjoying the fruits of the vines.

Barossa Seasons: Summer offers you the opportunity to make a weekend of it and take in a complete experience of the region, as well as enjoying the special events on offer. Whether it be relaxing into a bed and breakfast, hidden within private vineyards, being a happy camper amongst families in one of the many caravan parks, or going all out with a luxurious retreat, the Barossa has a place to fulfil your needs.



Wherever you choose to rest your head, you will never be far from one of the region's great local cafes, world-renowned cellar doors or respected restaurants serving local produce. You will also have time to enjoy to the beautiful Barossa views at your leisure, possibly from your car window, by walking or riding along the many scenic bike trails in the area, or even from the unique perspective of the basket beneath a gently drifting hot-air balloon
