Barossa - Be Consumed will be fun and plenty to eat & drink
Barossa Wines is a well known and much-loved wine made in Australia. Previously known as Barossa Dirt, it is part of the Barossa Grape and Wine Association. The Barossa Valley in Adelaide is widely regarded by international wine writers, judges, retailers and consumers as Australia's most famous wine region. They have been making wine for a long time and growing grapes by families some of which have entered their seventh generation.
There is going to be an immense 300 plus wines from more than 50 winemakers. And if that is not enough, there will also be artisan gin, local produce, live music and new meet the maker sessions! Barossa Be Consumed is an event that you will not want to miss either for the wine or even the food on its own.
Having whet your appetite, are you keen to dig deeper to unearth something really special?
You can partake in meet the maker sessions and learn all about some unusual Barossa stories during a seated tasting experience. There will most likely be some friendly banter between the panel of winemakers and their friends as they take you through their wonderful wines.
These are 45-minute-long sessions are limited to only 15 participants. They are the ideal chance to taste wine with and learn from the people that made it.
Meet the Maker sessions can be bought as an add-on to your Barossa Be Consumed ticket.
Session 1 – Stars of the Barossa Wine Show - $50pp Session 2 – Barossa Grenache - $35pp
Session 3 – The Flip Slide (everything other than Shiraz) - $35pp
Session 4 – Dining with Barossa Wine from a Sommelier's view - $50pp
Times are still to be confirmed so make sure you check their Facebook page regularly for this and more information. You will need to add your meet the maker session to your cart before you checkout.
This event will be held on Saturday 13th July 2019 from 11.00 am till 5.00 pm. The venue is Carriageworks, 245 Wilson Street, Eveleigh.
Tickets include a wine glass to taste from and take home. You can also purchase further food, wine and produce on the day.
There is a small booking/processing fee that's added to your ticket before payment.
This event is for over 18 years of age and ID must be presented on the day.
There will only be tickets at the door if they are not sold out beforehand so it is best to book online at their Facebook page. Tickets are mostly sold out before the event. The numbers of people attending are capped so that it is not too crazy and crowded.
Organisers of this event say that this is a tasting, not a drinking session as they want you to experience as many different wine styles on offer as possible. This will be a safe, welcoming and non-intimidating event environment and inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
