Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages have been offering guests secluded accommodation in a world heritage region for over 13 years. 3 beautifully adorned cottages and a boutique vineyard have been created in this time.
Located at the junction of the Logan River and Barney Creek on Seidenspinner Road Mt Barney, this 40 acre property offers the opportunity for a quiet getaway for couple and families.
In the recent past, the addition of "The Pecan Camp" offers guests the opportunity to 'glamp' within a camper trailer under its own shelter with kitchen, dining, shower and toilet facilities.
Fancy staying in a converted railway station? Then the old Logan Village railway station now known as 'The Hill Station' with its double spa bath and front and rear deck with magnificent views is perfect for that romantic getaway.
Perhaps the 'Lakeside Bungalow' with its private jetty might be more your thing.
Families are catered for in 'The Garden Cottage' with its 3 bedrooms and deck overlooking the creek and firepit.
Marketed as "Beds and Reds", Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages is an idyllic escape.
In 2003, the vineyard was planted with petit verdot, shiraz, grenache and mouvedre and wines offered include verdehlo, a gsm rose, 2 styles of shiraz, petit Verdot merlot and a port. My personal favourite is a lovely little red named "Roma's Red".
Although the vineyard sells whites, the grapes for these are not grown on the property.
All of the wines are available in the cottages and can be matched to their home cooked meals served in the cottages or join your hosts (Daniel and Tamara) for a wine tasting and antipasto platter on Saturday afternoon.
Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages are ideal for a pamper weekend and Daniel is a qualified Remedial Therapist should the idea of a massage fit nicely into your stay.
